Bio: AN OUT OF THIS WORLD-BEAT TRIBAL FOLK ROCK EXPERIENCE!!! KatsüK is a mesmerizing emotive musical experience that can silence a room or turn it upside down. From heavy tribal rhythms to folk to rock to reggae to funk, KatsüK combines soaring native flutes and driven orchestral movements with engaging and conscious lyrics, actively defying genre and simultaneously creating deeply impact-full works of art. The members of the band are Daniel Katsük on lead vocals, native flutes and guitar; Jeff Dahlgren on vocals and guitar; Evan O’Jones on drums; Matt Skates on stand-up and electric bass; and Orion Pitts on violin, percussion and vocals. Guitarist Dahlgren is also well known for his work with world-renowned French singer Mylene Farmer, and bassist Skates is a Fort Worth staple, contributing his talents to several well-loved local projects (Confusatron, Shuttle, Ginny Mac, and others). KatsüK’s highly anticipated EP, Skeleton Key, was recently released in January 2010 as a prelude to their new groundbreaking album due out at the beginning of 2011.
